About
Meet Fitz-Roy Gordon
For more than 20 years, Fitz-Roy has proudly called Vaughan home, where he has raised his family and built a life rooted in community. As an educator and dedicated community volunteer, he has demonstrated strong leadership through times of challenge and change, bringing people together to find common ground and lasting solutions. Fitz-Roy is committed to building a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Vaughan, one that creates opportunities today while securing a bright future for our children and grandchildren.
Over two decades, Fitz-Roy has watched Vaughan grow — from the construction of the subway, the VMC, and Highway 407 to increased housing development and urban sprawl. He believes we need safe streets. He supports investments for small businesses, strategies to protect the vitality of our seniors, neighbourhood programs and opportunities for our children and youth, and economic growth for our city. He believes that Vaughan needs investments in development and environmental initiatives to protect our parks and green space. We live in a great city, and it will only get better with an infusion of fresh ideas and new perspectives.
Fitz-Roy wants to represent you on Council. He believes in listening to residents, getting to know families, and harnessing the best of this city. He believes in being present and available when residents need help. He's here to LISTEN, here to SERVE, and here to WORK.

Momentum
Residents are asking for new voices at City Hall
There's a momentum taking place across Vaughan. Here's what residents are telling Fitz-Roy at the door.
We voted for the same people in the last election, and I regret it! If there's any way we can help, let us know.
— Catherine and her husbandI want a Vaughan for the average, hardworking family. The struggle is real. My son can't find a job and my kids won't be able to afford living here if things don't change.
— LeighI know that we need change, but there's never been anyone that seemed like they could be the one. Fitz, I think you would be a great Regional Councillor.
